2008 AES ISSUES FORUM to be held in Roanoke, VA
The AES Board of Directors (BOD) has accepted a proposal from George Flick and Greg Boardman to host AES forums at the time of the International Conference on Recirculating Aquaculture (ICRA) in 2008 and 2010. George is a University Distinguished Professor of Food Science and Technology at Virginia Tech, and Greg is a Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. Both George and Greg have worked on ICRA since its inception in 1996. It is now envisioned that AES would offer a day-long Conference the day before ICRA begins. The AES Issues Forum can then lead to AES sessions offered as a part of ICRA. However, AES can offer more than a day of presentations or some other activity as a part of the forum (tour, hands-on exercise, etc.) preceding ICRA. In 2008, ICRA will be offered at The Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center (HRCC) on July 25-27. Proposals for prospective AES forums should be sent to Greg Boardman (gboard@vt.edu) and Steve Hall (SGHall@agcenter.lsu.edu). Your proposal will then be considered by the AES BOD. If you have any questions pertaining to ICRA or the HRCC, please feel free to contact George Flick (flickg@vt.edu; 540-231-6965) or Greg Boardman (540-231-1376).
